Description
CD62P, clone AC1.2, is derived from hybridization of mouse NS-1 cells with spleen cells of BALB/c mice immunized with activated platelets.
The CD62P antigen, also known as platelet activation-dependent granule-external membrane (PADGEM) protein or granule membrane protein (GMP-140), is a 140-kilodalton (kd) single chain polypeptide. The CD62P antigen is a member of the selectin family of adhesion molecules and mediates the adhesion of activated platelets to neutrophils and monocytes in hemostasis.
