Description
Reacts with the urokinase plasminogen activator receptor (uPA-R), a 50-65kDa single chain glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-linked glycoprotein. uPA-R was clustered as CD87 in the Fifth Human Leukocyte Differentiation Antigens Workshop. It is expressed on neutrophils, monocytes, tissue macrophages, endothelial cells, and activated T cells. CD87 plays a role in cell-associated fibrinolytic activity and tissue invasion. This antibody may be useful in the study of myeloid cell differentiation. This antibody is routinely tested by flow cytometric analysis. Other applications were tested at BD Biosciences Pharmingen during antibody development only or reported in the literature.
