Description

Matrix protein p17 targets Gag and Gag-Pol polyproteinss to the plasma membrane via a multipartite membrane binding signal. that includes its myristoylated N-terminus. Also mediates nuclear localization of the preintegration complex. Implicated in the release from host cell mediated by Vpu.

PA1-27932 detects gag from HIV infected samples.PA1-27932 may be successfully used in Western blot applications. By Western blot, this antibody has only been tested on fusion protein.The PA1-27526 immunogen is fragment of Gag polyprotein.
