Description
The H22 antibody reacts with mouse interferon-γ (IFN-γ , but not mouse IFN-α , IFN-β , IL-6, or human IFN-γ. The H22 antibody was reported to inhibit the in vitro anti-viral, the class II MHC antigen-inducing and the macrophage-activating factor (MAF) activities of mouse IFN-γ. Moreover, the IFN-γ neutralizing capacity of has been reported in several in vivo model systems. The specific binding of I[125]-labeled recombinant mouse IFN-γ to IFN-γ receptor-positive cells is blocked by H22. Although the H22 antibody is reported to react with rat IFN-γ , its reactivity with IFN-γ from other species has not been tested.
