Mouse Monoclonal Antibody

Specifically detects Mast Cell Tryptase Clone: AA1 in Canine, Feline, Human, Monkey samples, and it is validated for Immunohistochemistry (Frozen), Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin), Immuno Blotting

Mast cells are tissue bound cells that normally are distributed throughout connective tissues. They are involved in inflammatory processes as important effector and regulatory cells. Mast cells are known to accumulate at sites of inflammation, such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, and rheumatoid arthritis. Mast cells contain preformed chemical mediators including histamine, chymase, carboxypeptidase and proteolytic tryptase. Mast cells of the skin and lung contain large amounts of tryptase, suggesting this enzyme has a major role in mast cell-mediated events. Human mast cell tryptase has the potential to be used as marker for mast cell activation and as a mediator of inflammation.
