Orexin A Sheep anti-Human, Polyclonal, Invitrogen
Sheep Polyclonal Antibody
Manufacturer: Invitrogen PA185744
Predicted to react with bovine, chimpanzee, dog, horse, mouse, pig, rabbit, rat and rhesus monkey based on sequence homology. Hypothalamus tissue can be used as a positive control. Sheep anti Human orexin A antibody recognizes human orexin A, an excitatory neuropeptide linked to alertness and wakefulness in humans. This gene encodes a hypothalamic neuropeptide precursor protein that gives rise to two mature neuropeptides, orexin A and orexin B, by proteolytic processing. Orexin A and orexin B, which bind to orphan G-protein coupled receptors HCRTR1 and HCRTR2, function in the regulation of sleep and arousal. This neuropeptide arrangement may also play a role in feeding behavior, metabolism, and homeostasis.
