TLT-2 (Treml2) Rat anti-Mouse, Brilliant Violet 421, Clone: MIH47, BD
Rat Monoclonal Antibody
Supplier: BD Biosciences 564185
Description
The MIH47 monoclonal antibody specifically binds to Trem-like transcript 2 protein (TLT-2) which is also known as TREML2 (Triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-like 2). TLT-2 is a type I transmembrane protein that belongs to the TREM family. It consists of a single extra-cellular Ig-like V-type domain, a transmembrane segment and a cytoplasmic tail and reportedly serves as a receptor for B7-H3/CD276. It is expressed on most B cells, CD8+ T cells, activated CD4+ T cells, macrophages and granulocytes and at low levels by some NK cells and dendritic cells. TLT-2 can reportedly serve costimulatory and coinhibitory functions in the immune system. TLT-2 expression is upregulated on neutrophils and macrophages in response to inflammatory conditions in vivo. TLT-2 serves as engulfment receptor for apoptotic cells and plays roles in both innate and adaptive immunity.
The antibody was conjugated to BD Horizon™ BV421 which is part of the BD Horizon™ Brilliant Violet™ family of dyes. With an Ex Max of 407-nm and Em Max at 421-nm, BD Horizon™ BV421can be excited by the violet laser and detected in the standard Pacific Blue™ filter set (eg, 450/50-nm filter). BD Horizon™ BV421conjugates are very bright, often exhibiting a 10 fold improvement in brightness compared to Pacific Blue™ conjugates.
