Description

AA Sequence of recombinant protein: APLAADTPTA CCFSYTSRQI PQNFIADYFE TSSQCSKPSV IFLTKRGRQV CADPSEEWVQ KYVSDLELSA. Preparation: Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human LD78beta (CCL3L1). Anti-Human LD78beta (CCL3L1)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human LD78beta (CCL3L1) matrix. Sandwich ELISA: To detect Human LD78beta (CCL3L1) by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.5-2.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human LD78beta (CCL3L1) (500-P187GBt) as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human LD78beta (CCL3L1). Western Blot: To detect Human LD78beta (CCL3L1) by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1- 0.2 μg/mL. When used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human LD78beta (CCL3L1) is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

This gene is one of several cytokine genes that are clustered on the q-arm of chromosome 17. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins that function in inflammatory and immunoregulatory processes. The protein encoded by this gene binds to several chemokine receptors, including chemokine binding protein 2 and chemokine (C-C motif) receptor 5 (CCR5). CCR5 is a co-receptor for HIV, and binding of this protein to CCR5 inhibits HIV entry. The copy number of this gene varies among individuals, where most individuals have one to six copies, and a minority of individuals have zero or more than six copies. There are conflicting reports about copy number variation of this gene and its correlation to disease susceptibility. This record represents one of two copies that are present on the ALT_REF_LOCI_2 alternate haplotype of the GRCh38 human reference genome assembly. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants.
