Description

Mouse Monoclonal Antibody

The CD1d42 monoclonal antibody recognizes CD1d. Cell surface CD1d is structurally homologous to Class I MHC molecules. It consists of CD1c molecules; group 2 includes CD1d molecules and their homologs in other species. CD1d is expressed on cortical thymocytes, B cells, dendritic cells, monocytes, and some nonlymphoid cells including intestinal epithelial cells, hepatocytes and keratinocytes. It is not expressed on resting mature T cells. Studies suggest that CD1d participates in lipid antigen presentation to CD1d-restricted NKT cells.

The antibody was conjugated to BD Horizon™ BV786 which is part of the BD Horizon Brilliant™ Violet family of dyes. This dye is a tandem fluorochrome of BD Horizon BV421 with an Ex Max of 405nm and an acceptor dye with an Em Max at 786nm. BD Horizon BV786 can be excited by the violet laser and detected in a filter used to detect Cy™7-like dyes (eg, 780/60nm filter). BV786 is a tandem fluorochrome of BD Horizon BV421 and an acceptor dye with an emission maximum at 786 nm. BV786 offers a bright choice for the 6th detector off the violet laser.
