Invitrogen™ CD205 Monoclonal Antibody (CC98)
Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Supplier: Invitrogen™ MA528317
Description
Mouse anti Bovine CD205 antibody, clone CC98 recognizes the bovine CD205 cell surface antigen, a approximately 210-220 kDa molecule expressed by T cells that are CD2+ve but not WC1+ve.
CD205 (LY25, Lymphocyte Antigen 75) is an integral membrane glycoprotein involved in antigen uptake, trafficking and presentation that improves the induction of antigen-specific T cell immunity. CD205 is highly expressed by CD8+ dendritic cells (DCs) and also expressed at different levels by bone marrow Gr1+ cells, Langerhans cells, (BMDC) bone marrow derived DCs and thymic epithelial cells. CD205 acts as an endocytic receptor that directs captured antigens to the extracellular space towards a specialized antigen processing region. Further, CD205 also prompts the reduced proliferation of B lymphocytes. Diseases associated with CD205 dysfunction include pneumonic plague and lipid pneumonia.
