Description

Rabbit Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody

Specificity: This antibody is specific for murine CD226. Preparation: This antibody was raised by immunising Lewis and Lou/M rats with the murine Th1 cell clone AE7 and Th1 cell lines derived from 5B6 and DO11.10 TCR transgenic mice, before screening for reactivity with Th1 clones and a lack of reactivity to Th2/Th0 cell lines.

DNAM 1 is a receptor expressed by peripheral blood T lymphocytes that is involved in intercellular adhesion, lymphocyte signaling, cytotoxicity and lymphokine secretion mediated by cytotoxic T lymphocytes. DNAM 1 is broadly expressed on T cells, NK cells, platelets, monocytes and a subset of B cells. DNAM-1 is also expressed by a subset of CD3 positive thymocytes.
