CD54 (ICAM-1) Mouse anti-Human, Functional Grade, Clone: HA58, eBioscience
Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Manufacturer: Invitrogen 16054982
Description: The HA58 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD54 (InterCellular Adhesion Molecule-1, ICAM-1), a 90-110 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed by monocytes, lymphocytes and endothelial cells. Expression of CD54 is upregulated on activated lymphocytes. Interaction of CD54 with its ligand CD11a is important in the inflammatory response. Applications Reported: The HA58 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. HA58 has also been reported in blocking of in vitro mixed lymphocyte reaction. Applications Tested: The HA58 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. This can be used at less than or equal to 0.25 µg per test. A test is defined as the amount (µg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. Endotoxin: Less than 0.001 ng/ug antibody as determined by the LAL assay. Storage and handling: Use in a sterile environment. Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered. Purity: Greater than 90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE. Endotoxin Level: Less than 0.001 ng/µg antibody, as determined by LAL assay. Aggregation: Less than 10%, as determined by HPLC.ICAM-1 (intercellular adhesion molecule) has 7 potential N-linked glycosylation sites. It is a single chain glycoprotein of Ig supergene family, present on unstimulated endo-thelial cells (EC) and on a variety of other cell types including activated fibroblasts, EC, macrophages, and lymphocytes. ICAM-1 mediates cell adhesion by binding to integrins CD11a/CD18 (leukocyte adhesion molecule, LFA-1) and to CD11b/CD18 (Mac-1).
