CD80 (B7-1) Mouse Anti-Rat, Brilliant Violet 786, Clone: 3H5, BD Optibuild™
Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Supplier: BD Biosciences 743868
Description
The 3H5 antibody specifically recognizes CD80 (B7-1), a member of the Ig superfamily of transmembrane proteins. CD80, a ligand for CD28 and CD152 (CTLA-4), is one of the accessory molecules that plays an important role in T cell-B cell costimulatory interactions. CD80 is predominantly expressed on antigen-presenting cells. It can be induced on splenic B cells by in vitro /polyclonal activation such as LPS treatment. 3H5 mAb is reported to block the costimulatory function of rat CD80 and to immunoprecipitate CD80 from Lewis-S1 cell lysates.
The antibody was conjugated to BD Horizon™ BV786 which is part of the BD Horizon Brilliant™ Violet family of dyes. This dye is a tandem fluorochrome of BD Horizon BV421 with an Ex Max of 405nm and an acceptor dye with an Em Max at 786nm. BD Horizon BV786 can be excited by the violet laser and detected in a filter used to detect Cy™7-like dyes (eg, 780/60nm filter). BV786 is a tandem fluorochrome of BD Horizon BV421 and an acceptor dye with an emission maximum at 786 nm. BV786 offers a bright choice for the 6th detector off the violet laser.
