Description

Goat Polyclonal Antibody

In direct ELISAs, approximately 10% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse Complement Factor D is observed, and less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) Complement Factor B and rhComplement Factor I is observed. Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

Complement factor D is a serine protease of the alternative pathway of complement activation. The protein is a single chain polypeptide with a molecular mass of 25 kDa. Factor D cleaves factor B bound to C3b, generating the alternative pathway C3 convertase C3bBb and releasing the Ba fragment.
