Mouse Monoclonal Antibody

Product is supplied at 1 mL (100 μL/mL). Application notes: Western blot - Under reducing conditions, antibody detected a protein with a band size of 43-46 kDa. IHC-F- tissue was fixed for 2 hours in 2% paraformaldehyde and 0.1 % glutaraldehyde in 0.1 M PB. The tissue was stored until use in 1 % paraformaldehyde. The tissue was blocked with 1% normal swine serum. IHC-P - antigen retrieval: 0.5 % pepsin in 0.01 N HCl for 15 min at 37 °C; endogenous peroxidise blocking by using 3 % H2O2 in PBS for 30 min; blocking with 1% normal swine serum for 30 min.; Purkinje cells serve as positive control and connective tissue as negative control. Positive control: Brain lysate, Human Purknije cells; Negative control: Human fibroblasts.

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytoplasmic enzyme involved in energy homeostasis. The encoded protein reversibly catalyzes the transfer of phosphate between ATP and various phosphogens such as creatine phosphate. It acts as a homodimer in brain as well as in other tissues, and as a heterodimer with a similar muscle isozyme in heart. The encoded protein is a member of the ATP:guanido phosphotransferase protein family. A pseudogene of this gene has been characterized.
