Invitrogen™ CtBP2 Monoclonal Antibody (10E9D2)
Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Supplier: Invitrogen™ MA549227
Description
Adding 0.2 mL of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/mL. Human CTBP2 shares 99.2% and 98.4% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse and rat CTBP2, respectively. Positive Control - WB: human Hela whole cell, human Siha whole cell. IHC: human breast cancer tissue, human metaplasia of squamous cells of the renal pelvis tissue, human rectal moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma tissue. ICC/IF: A549 cell. Flow: A431 cell. Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
This gene produces alternative transcripts encoding two distinct proteins. One protein is a transcriptional repressor, while the other isoform is a major component of specialized synapses known as synaptic ribbons. Both proteins contain a NAD+ binding domain similar to NAD+-dependent 2-hydroxyacid dehydrogenases. A portion of the 3' untranslated region was used to map this gene to chromosome 21q21. 3; however, it was noted that similar loci elsewhere in the genome are likely. Blast analysis shows that this gene is present on chromosome 10.
