Description

Description

AA Sequence of recombinant protein: APVANELRCQ CLQTVAGIHF KNIQSLKVMP PGPHCTQTEV IATLKNGREA CLDPEAPMVQ KIVQKMLKGV PK. Preparation: Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Rat GRO/KC (CXCL1). Anti-Rat GRO/KC (CXCL1)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated. Sandwich ELISA: To detect Rat GRO/KC by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25-1.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Rat GRO/KC (500-P74) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Rat GRO/KC. Western Blot: To detect Rat GRO/KC by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL. When used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Rat GRO/KC is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. 500-P74BT-1MG will be provided as 2 x 500 μg

CXCL1, CXCL2, and CXCL3, also known respectively as GRO alpha, GRO beta (MIP-2 alpha) and GRO gamma (MIP-2 beta), are members of the CXC subfamily of chemokines. Mature CXCL1/2/3 proteins bind with high affinity to the IL-8 receptor type B and are potent neutrophil attractants and activators. In vitro, the processed forms GRO-alpha(4-73), GRO-alpha(5-73) and GRO-alpha(6-73) show a 30-fold higher chemotactic activity.
