Description

AA Sequence of recombinant protein: NQGSVAGSCS CDRTISSGTQ IPQGTLDHIR KYLKAFHRCP FFIRFQLQSK SVCGGSQDQW VRELVDCFER KECGTGHGKS FHHQKHLP. Preparation: Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Murine CXCL16. Anti-Murine CXCL16-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated. Sandwich ELISA: To detect mCXCL16 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25-1.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Murine CXCL16 (500-P201G) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant mCXCL16. Western Blot: To detect Murine CXCL16 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for Recombinant Murine CXCL16 is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. 500-P201GBT-1MG will be provided as 2 x 500 μg

CXCL16 is a member of the CXC chemokine family and signals through the CXCR6 receptor. CXCL16 may play a role in attracting lymphocyte subsets during inflammation and may facilitate certain immune responses. The chemokine domain of CXCL16 contains six cysteine residues, including the four highly conserved cysteine residues characteristic of CXC chemokines. The CXCL16 gene codes for a 273 amino acid polypeptide, which includes a 29 amino acid cytoplasmic domain and transmembrane sequence containing approximately 20 amino acids. The extracellular portion of CXCL16 contains a chemokines domain and an extended C-terminal mucin-like stalk sequence. The extracellular domain contains 89 amino acid residues (86 a.a. residues for the murine homolog).
