MA1-7025 detects the Cytomegalovirus. This antibody is specific for glycoprotein gH, and is not reactive with HSV, VZV, EBV, or uninfected cells. MA1-7025 has been successfully used in ELISA and immunofluorescence procedures. The MA1-7025 immunogen is Cytomegalovirus lysate.
Cytomegalovirus is an enveloped double stranded DNA virus which in humans (HCMV) is commonly known as human herpesvirus 5 (HHV-5). Cytomegalovirus glycoprotein H (gH) late neutralizing antigen and reacts with MRC-5 infected cells.
