CytoScan™ MTT Cell Proliferation Assay, 1000 reactions, G-Biosciences

Description
- Adherent or suspension cells are cultured in a microplate and then incubated with MTT and the assay is monitored with a spectrophotometer. The assay principle is based upon the reduction of water-soluble MTT (3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5- diphenyltetrazolium bromide) to formazan by cellular dehydrogenases. Formazan is then solubilized, and the concentration of the colorimetric probe is determined by measuring optical density at 570 nm.
