An alcohol-based general purpose cytology fixative solution.

  • CytoStat Red is used for diagnostic non-gynecological cytology specimens, which include, but are not limited to, sputum, washings, body fluids, scrapings, and fine needle aspiration biopsies
  • This fixative lyses red blood cells and solubilizes proteins while preserving the diagnostically relevant cells
