    Description

    Applications
Dimethylamine is a precursor to several industrially significant compounds. It reacts with carbon disulfide to give dimethyl dithiocarbamate, a precursor to a family of chemicals widely used in the vulcanization of rubber. It is raw material for the production of many agrichemicals and pharmaceuticals, such as dimefox and diphenhydramine, respectively. The surfactant lauryl dimethylamine oxide is found in soaps and cleaning compounds.

    Solubility
    Fully miscible in water.

    Notes
Hygroscopic. Temperature sensitive. Store in cool place. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Store away from strong oxidizing agents, acids, water, moisture, mercury, chlorine, copper and copper compounds.
