Description

Mouse Monoclonal Antibody

Recommended positive controls: chicken brain and kinesin enriched rat brain extract. MA1-26770 will not react with hamster CHO cell chromosomal dynein or dynein from Chlamydomonas flagella. By Western blot, MA1-26770 detects an ~440kD protein representing Dynein heavy chain. Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial.

This gene encodes the heavy chain subunit of axonemal dynein, a large multi-subunit molecular motor. Axonemal dynein attaches to microtubules and hydrolyzes ATP to mediate the movement of cilia and flagella. The gene expresses at least two transcript variants; additional variants have been described, but their full length nature has not been determined.
