Invitrogen™ Enterovirus 71 2C Polyclonal Antibody
Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Invitrogen™ PA5112003
Description
Enterovirus 71 2C Polyclonal Antibody for Western Blot
Enterovirus 71 (EV71) causes hand-foot-and-mouth disease (HFMD), for which there are currently no therapeutics. EV71 virions have icosahedral symmetry and a diameter of approximately 30 nm, comprising 60 copies of the four protein subunits VP1 to VP4. Each of subunits VP1 to VP3 adopts a beta-barrel configuration common to many viruses. EV71 nonstructural protein 2C participates in many critical events throughout the virus life cycle; however, its precise role is not fully understood.
