Description
AA Sequence of recombinant protein: HPGSIPTSCC FIMTSKKIPN TLLKSYKRIT NNRCTLKAIV FKTRLGKEIC ADPKKKWVQD ATKHLDQKLQ TPKP. Preparation: Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Murine Eotaxin (CCL11). Anti-Murine Eotaxin (CCL11)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Murine Eotaxin (CCL11) matrix. Sandwich ELISA: To detect Murine Eotaxin (CCL11) by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.5-2.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Murine Eotaxin (500-P67Bt) as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Murine Eotaxin (CCL11). Western Blot: To detect mEotaxin by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for Recombinant mEotaxin is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
This gene is one of several Cys-Cys (CC) cytokine genes clustered on the q-arm of chromosome 17. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The cytokine encoded by this gene displays chemotactic activity for eosinophils, but not mononuclear cells or neutrophils. This eosinophil specific chemokine assumed to be involved in eosinophilic inflammatory diseases such as atopic dermatitis, allergic rhinitis, asthma and parasitic infections.Specifications
