Invitrogen™ EPCR Monoclonal Antibody (RCR-252)
Rat Monoclonal Antibody
Supplier: Invitrogen™ MA533375
Description
Product is supplied at 1 mL (100 μL/mL). Application Notes: Flow cytometry- This antibody stains the extracellular domain of human EPCR. RE-1 cells were used as a positive control and N1 cells were used as a negative control. Western blot - A non-reduced sample treatment was used. The observed band size is 50 kDa. Functional Assay: This antiboyd functions as blocking antbody. It ablates APC binding to EPCR and blocks APC-mediated signaling. The antibody was functionally tested by pretreatment of cells with 10-25 μg/mL RCR-252. Positive control: RE-1 (rat 3Y1 fibroblasts stably transfected with human EPCR); Negative control: N1 cells.
The protein encoded by this gene is a receptor for activated protein C, a serine protease activated by and involved in the blood coagulation pathway. The encoded protein is an N-glycosylated type I membrane protein that enhances the activation of protein C. Mutations in this gene have been associated with venous thromboembolism and myocardial infarction, as well as with late fetal loss during pregnancy.
