Invitrogen™ Exendin 4 Monoclonal Antibody (35)
Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Supplier: Invitrogen™ ABS0123502
Description
ABS 012-35-02 detects exendin-4 from human samples. This antibody does not cross react with GLP-1, GLP-2 or glucagon. ABS 012-35-02 has been successfully used in ELISA procedures. The binding between ABS 012-35-02 and exendin-4 is disrupted by 4.5 M MgCl2. ABS 012-35-02 binds to an epitope in the 9-39 amino acid region of extendin-4. NOTE: Concentration is lot-dependent and can vary from 0.85-1.15 mg/mL.
Exendin-4 is a 39-amino-acid peptide found in venom from the Gila monster Helicoderma suspectum. It is a member of the glucagon-secretin family of peptide hormones and neuropeptides. Exendin-4 is a potent agonist of the GLP-1 receptor and hence a potent stimulator of insulin secretion.
