Description
The process of fermentation is when microorganisms act upon organic materials and produce gas as a byproduct. Different microorganisms and different materials produce various and unique gases. These gases rise and need to be collected and measured. These fermentation tubes are made from durable borosilicate glass and include blue graduations. The open end has a bulb forholding the materials being fermented. As the gas produced by the microorganisms rises into the vertical tube, the graduated increments allow accurate measurement to intervals of 0.1 mL in the 5 mL tube, or 0.2 mL in the 20 mL tube. Both tubes have a round glass base.
