Description

Fluorescent taxol derivative; microtubule stain

Flutax 1 is a a fluorescent taxol derivative that binds to the taxol microtubule binding site with high affinity (Ka ∼ 107M-1). Can be used for direct imaging of the microtubule cytoskeleton. Absorption, fluorescence and fluorescence decay of Flutax 1 in solution are pH sensitive. Excitation maximum ∼ 495 nm; emission maximum ∼ 520 nm.
