Description

Green fluorescent taxol derivative

Flutax 2 is a green fluorescent taxol derivative. Binds microtubules with high affinity (Ka ∼ 107M-1). Can be used for imaging microtubules in live cells, isolated cytoskeletons and microtubule suspensions. Binds to α, β tubulin dimers and stabilizes them. Flutax 2 is soluble and pH insensitive, and is more photostable than Flutax 1 (Cat. No. 2226). Excitation/emission maximum λ ∼ 496/526 nm.
