Description

IHC(P) analysis shows positive staining of GPR87 in human kidney tubules. WB analysis shows GPR87 in glyco-protein enriched fractions from GPR84 or GPR87 overexpressed 293 cells. The GPR87 antiserum showed specific detection of GPR87 over other tested GPRs. GPR87 exists in different glycosylated forms.

G protein-coupled receptors play a role in cell communication. They are characterized by an extracellular N terminus, 7 transmembrane regions, and an intracellular C terminus. GPR87/GPR95 has been reported to be expressed in human prostate and rat stomach and fetal tissues. ESTs have been isolated from B-cell/lung/testis, breast, heart, jaw, prostate, and testis libraries.
