H3K4me2 Recombinant Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (24H8L19), ChIP-Verified, Invitrogen™
Rabbit Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody
Supplier: Thermo Scientific 701764
Description
Since it is highly conserved across species, the antibody may react with many other species. Recombit rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning in the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Then, individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production. The advantages of using recombit rabbit monoclonal antibodies include: better specificity and sensitivity, lot-to-lot consistency, animal origin-free formulations, and broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire.
Histone octamers are an essential component of the nucleosomal complex with key roles in chromatin packaging and target gene transcription. They undergo various post-translational modifications including methylation, acetylation and phosphorylation to facilitate chromatin regulation. Methylation of histones is regulated by histone methyl transferases and histone demethylases. These modifications in turn serve as epigenetic markers for transcriptional status of a gene and landing sites for transcriptional complexes. Several ChIP-seq studies indicate that Histone 3 dimethylated on Lysine 4 (H3K4me2) is enriched at transcription factor binding regions. Hence H3K4me2 is a prominent chromatin marker for cis-regulatory elements containing a stretch of transcription factor consensus sites.Specifications
