Description

Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Reconstitute with 0.2 mL of distilled water to yield a concentration of 500 μg/mL. Positive Control - WB: human HepG2 whole cell, human A549 whole cell, rat liver tissue, rat kidney tissue, mouse liver tissue, mouse kidney tissue. IHC: human liver cancer tissue, human prostatic cancer tissue. ICC/IF: CACO-2 cell. Flow: HEPG2 cell.

This gene encodes the enzyme homogentisate 1,2 dioxygenase. This enzyme is involved in the catabolism of the amino acids tyrosine and phenylalanine. Mutations in this gene are the cause of the autosomal recessive metabolism disorder alkaptonuria.
