Native Protein

The product is of human blood/plasma origin. Although the starting material was tested prior to initiation of the manufacturing process, and was found negative or nonreactive for anti-HIV-1/2, HIV-1 antigen(s), HBsAg, STS, anti-HCV, anti-HBcore and anti-HTLV I & II, extreme caution should be used when handling this material as there is a margin of error in all tests. RP-43114 contains native human Factor Xa protein. RP-43114, RP-43117, and RP43118 may be used as controls in many immunological assays. RP-43114 is the active version of Factor Xa. The EGR version (RP-43117) contains the tripeptide chloromethyl ketone inhibitor EGRck, which irreversibly blocks the active-site of Xa. The DEGR version (RP-43118) contains the fluorescent inhibitor Dansyl-EGRck (DEGR), which irreversibly blocks the active-site of Xa. This product is to be used for IN VITRO research purposes only, and is not intended for clinical or diagnostic use!

Factor Xa is a vitamin K-dependent glycoprotein that converts prothrombin to thrombin in the presence of factor Va, calcium and phospholipid during blood clotting.
