The B46-5 monoclonal antibody specifically recognizes rat Igs bearing λ light chain. It does not react with rat Ig κ light chain or heavy chains, nor with rabbit, hamster, guinea pig, or human immunoglobulins. However, in some cases it may cross-react with rat IgE κ isotype antibodies.
