AA Sequence of recombinant protein: GASSGGLGPV VRCEPCDARA LAQCAPPPAV CAELVREPGC GCCLTCALSE GQPCGIYTER CGSGLRCQPS PDEARPLQAL LDGRGLCVNA SAVSRLRAYL LPAPPAPGNA SESEEDRSAG EVESPSVSST HRVSDPKFHP LHSKIIIIKK GHAKDSQRYK VDYESQSTDT QNFSSESKRE TEYGPCRREM EDTLNHLKFL NVLSPRGVHI PNCDKKGFYK KKQCRPSKGR KRGFCWCVDK YGQPLPGYTT KGKEDVHCYS MQSK. Preparation: Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human IGF-BP3. Anti-Human IGF-BP3-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated. Sandwich ELISA: To detect hIGF-BP3 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25-1.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human IGF-BP3 (500-P230) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hIGF-BP3. Western Blot: To detect hIGF-BP3 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for Recombinant hIGF-BP3 is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. 500-P230BT-1MG will be provided as 2 x 500 μg

IGFBP3 is a gene that belongs to the insulin-like growth factor binding protein (IGFBP) family. The gene encodes a protein that contains both an IGFBP domain and a thyroglobulin type-I domain. This protein is known to form a ternary complex with insulin-like growth factor acid-labile subunit (IGFALS) and either insulin-like growth factor (IGF) I or II. The complex circulates in the plasma and prolongs the half-life of IGFs while also altering their interaction with cell surface receptors. Various isoforms of the gene have been identified through alternate transcriptional splice variants. Diseases associated with IGFBP3 include Insulin-Like Growth Factor I and Acid-Labile Subunit Deficiency.
