Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

AA Sequence of recombinant protein: MQPRSPKSKR KGQGRPGPLA PGPHQVPLDL VSRMKPYARM EEYERNIEEM VAQLRNSSEL AQRKCEVNLQ LWMSNKRSLS PWGYSINHDP SRIPVDLPEA RCLCLGCVNP FTMQEDRSMV SVPVFSQVPV RRRLCPPPPR TGPCRQRAVM ETIAVGCTCI F. Preparation: Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human IL-17B. Anti-Human IL-17B-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated. Sandwich ELISA: To detect hIL-17B by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25-1.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human IL-17B (500-P248) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hIL-17B. Western Blot: To detect hIL-17B by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for Recombinant hIL-17B is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. 500-P248BT-1MG will be provided as 2 x 500 μg

The protein encoded by this gene is a T cell-derived cytokine that shares sequence similarity with IL17. This cytokine was reported to stimulate the release of TNF alpha (TNF) and IL1 beta (IL1B) from a monocytic cell line. Immunohistochemical analysis of several nerve tissues indicated that this cytokine is primarily localized to neuronal cell bodies.
