Integrin αvβ5 Mouse, Brilliant Violet 786, Clone: ALULA, BD Optibuild™
Shop All BD Biosciences ProductsDescription
The ALULA monoclonal antibody specifically binds to Integrin alpha v beta 5 (αvβ5), which is also known asCD51/β5.Integrin αvβ5 is widely expressed byfibroblasts, endothelial cells, and vascular smooth muscle cells. It is involved in activation-dependent cell migration and cell adhesion to the extracellular matrix. Integrin αvβ5 plays a major role in growth factor-induced angiogenesis in response to VEGF and TGF.The αv Integrins, αvβ5andαvβ3,αre involved in tumor growthand are being targeted in cancer therapies. The ALULA clone specificallyrecognizes αvβ5 integrin and functionally blocks the interaction between αvβ5 and vitronectin.Although raised against mouseαvβ5, the ALULA antibody crossreacts with humanαvβ5.
