Description

Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Reconstitute with 0.2 mL of distilled water to yield a concentration of 500 μg/mL. Positive Control - WB: monkey COS-7 whole cell, human SH-SY5Y whole cell, rat testis tissue, mouse testis tissue. IHC: human intestinal cancer tissue, human intestinal cancer tissue, human lung cancer tissue, human breast cancer tissue, mouse testis tissue, rat testis tissue. ICC/IF: MCF-7 cell. Flow: U20S cell. Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

KDM5B is a histone demethylase that demethylates 'Lys-4' of histone H3, thereby playing a central role in histone code. It does not demethylate histone H3 'Lys-9' or H3 'Lys-27'. KDM5B demethylates trimethylated, dimethylated and monomethylated H3 'Lys-4'. It acts as a transcriptional corepressor for FOXG1B and PAX9. It favors the proliferation of breast cancer cells by repressing tumor suppressor genes such as BRCA1 and HOXA5. In contrast, KDM5B may act as a tumor suppressor for melanoma.
