Epredia™ Lab Vision™ p53 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (Clone Y5)
Employ part of a comprehensive antibody portfolio with the Epredia™ p53, Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (Clone Y5).
Supplier: Epredia™ RM2103S0
Description
p53 is a tumor suppressor gene expressed in a wide variety of tissue types and is involved in regulating cell growth, replication, and apoptosis. It binds to mdm2, SV40 T antigen and human papilloma virus E6 protein. p53 senses DNA damage and possibly facilitaes repair. Mutation involving p53 is found in a wide variety of malignant tumors, including breast, ovarian, bladder, colon, lung, and melanoma. p53 is detected by immunostains only if the mutation causes protein stability (although protein may be nonfunctional) or a physiologic response. The physiologic response may be due to genetic changes induced by cellular stress from anoxia or aneuploidy; or genetic damage to other pathways controlling p53 such as MDM2 or alternative reading frame.Host Species: Rabbit
