Epredia™ Transforming Growth Factor α (TGFα) Ab-1, Mouse Monoclonal Antibody provides accurate, reproducible results.
Supplier: Epredia MS670P
Description
TGFα (aa 50) is a growth factor with 33% homology to EGF, binds to EGFR, activates tyrosine phosphorylation of the receptor, and stimulates cell proliferation. It plays a role in tumor initiation by inducing the reversible transformed phenotype.Host Species: Mouse
Clone: MF9
Isotype: IgG1/κ
Species Reactivity: Human, Cow, Rat and Mouse. Others not known.
Epitope: C-terminal
Immunogen: A 17-amino acid synthetic peptide from the carboxyl-terminus of rat TGFα
Molecular Weight: 6kDa
Positive Control: Recombinant TGFα protein, A2058 cells
Cellular Localization: Cytoplasmic Ab-1 shows no cross-reaction with EGF and the neuropeptide synenkephalin. Ab-1 is excellent for staining of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues. The staining with Ab-1 is completely blocked by the peptide used for raising this antibody.
