Latexin is identified as a molecular marker in the developing rat brain and is known for its tumor suppressive activities. With a molecular weight of 29 kDa, LXN is highly expressed in macrophages and plays a significant role in the inflammatory immune response, including regulating macrophage polarity and enhancing tumor immune surveillance.
