Description

For the examination of the nasal secretions to differentiate an allergic condition from a bacterial infection

  • One-minute stain
  • For secretion cytology
  • Stain eosinophils red; neutrophils, epithelial (exfoliated cells) and bacteria blue; and mast cells or basophiles red and blue
  • Can be adapted for staining various secretions: urinary, conjunctival, salivary, gastrointestinal, nasal, sinus, aural and bronchial
  • Determine elevated levels of eosinophils in urine (eosinophiluria) which can aid in diagnosis of many associated clinical conditions
  • Cannot be used for blood staining
