Goat Polyclonal Antibody

PA1-28903 is cross-reactive with numerous members of the Enterobacteriaceae including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, E. coli O157, Salmonella enteriditis, Enterobacter aerogenes, E. hermanii, Yersinia enterocolitica and Shigella sonnei.

LPS is chemically composed of a lipid part, which is responsible for the endotoxic activities of LPS, and a heteropolysaccharide which generally consists of an oligosaccharide, termed the core region, and, in some bacterial families, of the so-called O chain, composed of repeating oligosaccharide units. Lipid A is the glucosamine-based phospholipid which forms part of the bacterial outer membrane and anchors LPS to the surface of the bacteria.
