Description
Adding 0.2 mL of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/mL. Positive Control - WB: rat brain tissue, mouse brain tissue. IHC: mouse brain tissue, rat brain tissue. Flow: U87 cell. Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
The protein encoded by this gene is a type I membrane protein and member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is thought to be involved in the process of myelination. It is a lectin that binds to sialylated glycoconjugates and mediates certain myelin-neuron cell-cell interactions. Two alternatively spliced transcripts encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene.
