Description
MA5-17118 targets MARK3 in FACS, IHC, indirect ELISA, and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human and Mouse samples. The MA5-17118 immunogen is purified recombinant fragment of human MARK3 (amino acids: 435-658) expressed in E. Coli. MA5-17118 detects MARK3 which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 87kDa.
MARK3 is a member of a group of kinases known to regulate cell polarity via phosphorylation of microtubule-associated proteins (MAPs). The protein encoded by MARK3 is activated by phosphorylation and in turn is involved in the phosphorylation of tau proteins MAP2 and MAP4. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for MARK3.
