Description

Reconstitute with 0.2 mL of distilled water to yield a concentration of 500 μg/mL. Positive Control - WB: human A549 whole cell, human CACO-2 whole cell, human HEK293 whole cell, human HEPG2 whole cell, human PC-3 whole cell, human HELA whole cell, human THP-1 whole cell, rat brain tissue, rat heart tissue, rat NRK whole cell, mouse Neuro-2a whole cell, mouse HEPA1-6 whole cell. IHC: mouse brain tissue, rat brain tissue, human intestine cancer tissue, rat intestine tissue, human lung cancer tissue, human breast cancer tissue, mouse intestine tissue. Flow: A549 cell. Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

MAP2K3 (MEK3) is a dual-specificity protein kinase which acts in cellular signal transduction pathways, and is necessary for the expression of glucose transporter. It phosphorylates and thus activates MAPK14/p38-MAPK. This kinase can be activated by insulin, and is necessary for the expression of glucose transporter. Expression of RAS oncogene is found to result in the accumulation of the active form of this kinase, which thus leads to the constitutive activation of MAPK14, and confers oncogenic transformation of primary cells. The inhibition of this kinase is involved in the pathogenesis of Yersina pseudotuberculosis. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode distinct isoforms have been reported for MEK3.
