Invitrogen™ Midkine Polyclonal Antibody
Goat Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Invitrogen™ PA546927
Description
In direct ELISAs, approximately 10% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse Midkine is observed, and less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Pleiotrophin is observed. Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Midkine is a retinoic acid-responsive, heparin-binding growth factor expressed in various cell types during embryogenesis. It promotes angiogenesis, cell growth, and cell migration. Midkine is also expressed in several carcinomas, suggesting that it may play a role in tumorigenesis, perhaps through its effects on angiogenesis.
