Goat Polyclonal Antibody

In direct ELISAs and Western blots, a preference for the 68 aa residue isoform over the 92 aa residue isoform of human CCL15/LKN-1 is shown. This antibody neutralizes the biological activity of the 68 aa isoform of recombinant human (rh) CCL15/LKN-1. This antibody will also neutralize the biological activity of the 92 aa residue isoform of rhCCL15/LKN-1 using a 2-fold higher Ig concentration. Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS. Endoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 μg of the antibody by the LAL method.

This gene is located in a cluster of similar genes in the same region of chromosome 17. These genes encode CC cytokines, which are secreted proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The product of this gene is chemotactic for T cells and monocytes, and acts through C-C chemokine receptor type 1 (CCR1). The proprotein is further processed into numerous smaller functional peptides. Naturally-occurring readthrough transcripts occur from this gene into the downstream gene, CCL14 (chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 14).
