Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. In ELISA and other immunoreactive assays, this antibody will recognize both native and recombinant mouse MIP-3 alpha in cell supernatants and certain body fluids. A control of similarly diluted normal rabbit IgG is recommended.

Macrophage Inflammatory Protein-3 alpha (MIP-3alpha), also called CCL20, is expressed in the liver, lungs, lymph nodes and peripheral blood lymphocytes. MIP-3alpha is strongly up regulated by inflammatory signals, and down regulated by the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10. MIP3alpha signals through the G protein-coupled receptor, CCR6, and acts as a chemoattractant to lymphocytes and dendritic cells.
